How often should I change the Carbon Filter?
For optimal odour absorption, we recommend changing the carbon filter every three months, if you have the recommended 2-3 cats per Robot. However, replacement frequency is up to you and your cats usage patterns. If using scented litter, the filter will need changing more often as it will also absorb the litter scent. Unscented litter is recommended. Frequency of changing the filter is dependent on number of cats, and litter being used, with carbon or activated charcoal helpful for additional odour control.
Note:The carbon filter is not necessary for the unit to function.
I use these they are great, like any filter in any kitty litter unit, we always give them a rinse with natural soap & water and put out in sun to dry and change with a dry one. When looses the charcoal we throw them but still using my original ones that come with the step kit, and the original one, we rinse weekly and replace with a dry one that is kept in a plastic bag, so far we have thrown away one, with 5 cats we clean out the tray every couple of days :) and the filter and tofu kitty litter replaced weekly - We love the Litter Robot and so do our cats
The robot itself is awesome... but the massive delays and nil stock of the carbon filters is ridiculous. So disappointed after the huge expense in purchasing the robot to have this area in sales let us down! The smell from the tray is gross, and getting this whiff when we enter our home after working all day is awful!
Kind of defeats the purpose of why we purchased the robot!
I have had these on order for so many months. My cat is hating the smell coming from the box, so I have to get rid of the bags as soon as she does no 2. She is starting to use the other cat litter and also the bath.
Surely there is a time on when these will come, or stop selling the cat evolution.
The smell is so bad after she has been.

After having my litter robot for 2 years, it started to have issues. Speaking to Mary (whom was very prompt at responding), I realised that the catsan litter I'd been using was not clumping as it used to and was catching on the circuit boards causing damage over time. She gave me some helpful steps to ensure that it could be resolved first without needing to replace parts.
Unfortunately it had to be replaced however, Mary went above and beyond to ensure that my litter robot was not out of action for long. As we're both located in WA, I was able to travel to her and have it replaced (and cleaned!) within an hour.
I'm so grateful for all her tips and amazing service that I can't help but highly recommend to everyone!
Everything about the litter robot 3 connect is awesome. Well worth the money. I bought it as we are planning a holiday and this will make it easier for our family members who already have busy lifes to come and empty the litter tray. Our cat started using it straight away, which was a big surprise as she is very skittish around using new things. Very easy to set up. Postage was super quick. I love being able to see the details on my phone, EG the percentage that the tray is so I know when it's getting close to where I need to empty it. Now other people I know are considering buying one too for their cats. Highly recommend this product and the service from the company was superb.
I just wanted to let you know that I have received my order, and I have set it up.
Straight away my cat Phoenix has started using it (we were already using extra clumping litter), and 24 hours later we have removed the old litter tray. In fact, since installing the unit and filling it with litter, Phoenix has not gone back to his old manual tray.
I have connected the unit to my phone successfully and I love that I can keep track of his toilet use and how full the tray is.

A little bit fiddly but easy Installation. Followed the YouTube tutorial which was simple and concise. Very quick arrival and backup and running like a charm in no time at all. Definitely worth going down this route for time and convenience. Customer service was excellent, can't recommend enough.

We love our litter robot so do our cats. No more smelly house for guests. Some of our cats are still observing the litter robot some started using it from day 2 of unboxed. Happy purchase and we received very quick response to our queries and delivery of the robot.

I reckon it was the pinch detectors. They were very corroded, and it was hard to see that without taking them out.
Best money I've ever spent. I use the catsan litter and mix with crushed up tofu litter and this is wording fantastically. There's a bit of tracking after each use but a mat in front of the machine picks up most of it. All the cats took to it fast. Even my large 8kg boy uses it and fits in the portal easily.

I received the new parts earlier today and installed them without issue, so far the robot seems to be working like brand new!
