There are many products on the market that make promises to remove offensive pet odors. I have spent, as I am sure you have, countless dollars over the years and have been left dissapointed time and time again.
I was not convinced that Whisker's cleaner spray or wipes would change my mind, given past experience but decided to invest in the products in the hope that they work as well as the 5 Litter-Robot's I have for my clowder of 11 kitties.
For once my hopes were realised. This product is liquid gold, can be used on so much more than your Litter-Robot, and I will always have it on hand.
WHAT IS IT
The Litter-Robot Cleaner (spray and wipes) harnesses bio-enzymatic technology to digest and eliminate organic material, stains, and odors caused by urine, faeces, and vomit. It’s easy to use: Lightly spray the cleaner directly on the Litter-Robot (avoid spraying wires and electronic components); then allow the cleaner to set for several minutes and wipe up any excess liquid that remains. Best of all, the product is all-natural and fragrance-free, thus cat-approved!

Ingredients: Safe, all-natural ingredients include water, high-count good bacteria (naturally occurring within our own digestive system), and amino acidic enzymes known as amylase, lipase, and protease (all of which are naturally occurring within our bodies). Preservatives used: Benzothiazolinone & Methylchloroisothiazolinone.
HOW TO USE IT
It’s important to clean your Litter-Robot on a regular basis, especially the globe and seal strips, to avoid any odours developing. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the inside of the globe every one to three months.
The cleaner spray is excellent. I don’t wash with it but spritz a light coating on to the black globe liner after I've washed first with a vinegar and detergent solution. I let it dry before putting in the litter, so it can keep working into the globe and track down and deal with any lingering odours. I also spritz the top of the base after hard brushing the seals to remove dust, and wipe over with the microfibre, rubbing into the seals.
1 bottle of the cleaner spray will last a very long time if used this way, making it a more economical cleaning option, and its really good (I know I sound like a purring kitten but it really is THAT good).
The cleaner wipes are a convenient option and perfect for quick touch ups or mini cleans in between deep cleaning of your Litter-Robot.
NON LITTER-ROBOT USES
It is also a lifesaver if, like me, you experience inappropriate toileting around your home. Once it starts it can be extremly difficult to stop your kitties from re- offending, in the same spot, over and over again.
I have an extremly nervous kitty in my household who decided my kitchen counter and floor were a toilet. It wasn't as easy as all that, setting up cameras, getting the angle just right, watching footage, and for weeks to identify the culprit. After making sure there were no medical reasons behind the issue, I then needed to manage the behaviour, and not just her's (she was being bullied and I figured out that the smart cookie had found the safest place to relieve herself).
Just cleaning it up each time using my nornal household cleaning products was not enough. In a lightbulb moment I remembered the enzyme technology in the cleaner spray is designed specifically for these very circumstances. So out it came after I had thoroughly scrubbed my counters and floors. I spritzed the areas and allowed to dry. The peeing stopped, woot woot. I do still have the odd Hershey's kiss but working on the bullying is an ongoing work in progress. I'll take the win.
I have been guilty of using the cleaner as an air freshener when my kitties have left a particularly fragrant deposit in their Litter-Robots too.
IMPORTANT: If you are going to use it on fabric I would recommend testing on a small patch first to ensure it is suitable.
