Why I Swear by the Litter-Robot™ Cleaner Spray & Wipes

Why I Swear by the Litter-Robot™ Cleaner Spray & Wipes

Are you If you are on the fence about Whisker's cleaner spray, check out this helpful information on its uses.

There are many products on the market that make promises to remove offensive pet odors. I have spent, as I am sure you have, countless dollars over the years and have been left dissapointed time and time again.

I was not convinced that Whisker's cleaner spray or wipes would change my mind, given past experience but decided to invest in the products in the hope that they work as well as the 5 Litter-Robot's I have for my clowder of 11 kitties.

For once my hopes were realised. This product is liquid gold, can be used on so much more than your Litter-Robot, and I will always have it on hand.

What are the Litter-Robot™ Cleaner Spray & Wipes

The Litter-Robot Cleaner (spray and wipes) harnesses bio-enzymatic technology to digest and eliminate organic material, stains, and odors caused by urine, faeces, and vomit. It’s easy to use: Lightly spray the cleaner directly on the Litter-Robot (avoid spraying wires and electronic components); then allow the cleaner to set for several minutes and wipe up any excess liquid that remains. Best of all, the product is all-natural and fragrance-free, thus cat-approved!

  • Safe, all-natural ingredients
  • Odor free
  • Works on urine, faeces, vomit
  • 700ml spray bottle, or
  • 30 container of wipes

Ingredients: Safe, all-natural ingredients include water, high-count good bacteria (naturally occurring within our own digestive system), and amino acidic enzymes known as amylase, lipase, and protease (all of which are naturally occurring within our bodies). Preservatives used: Benzothiazolinone & Methylchloroisothiazolinone.

How to use it

It’s important to clean your Litter-Robot on a regular basis, especially the globe and seal strips, to avoid any odours developing. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the inside of the globe every one to three months.

The cleaner spray is excellent. I don’t wash with it but spritz a light coating on to the black globe liner after I've washed first with a vinegar and detergent solution. I let it dry before putting in the litter, so it can keep working into the globe and track down and deal with any lingering odours. I also spritz the top of the base after hard brushing the seals to remove dust, and wipe over with the microfibre, rubbing into the seals.

1 bottle of the cleaner spray will last a very long time if used this way, making it a more economical cleaning option, and its really good (I know I sound like a purring kitten but it really is THAT good).

As someone who’s tried nearly every pet odour solution on the market—only to be disappointed time and again—I wasn’t expecting much from Whisker’s Cleaner Spray and Wipes. After all, many products promise the world but fall short, especially in multi-cat households.

But with five Litter-Robots™ in use for my clowder of eleven cats, I decided to give it a go. And to my surprise? This product is liquid gold.

Whisker’s Litter-Robot Cleaner (available in spray and wipe format) uses bio-enzymatic technology to break down and digest organic matter like urine, faeces, and vomit—eliminating the source of odour, not just masking it.

How I Use It

Routine cleaning of your Litter-Robot—especially the globe and seal strips—is essential to avoid build-up and odour. I deep clean mine every 1–3 months and finish with this spray:

  • After washing with a vinegar-detergent mix, I lightly spritz the globe liner and allow it to air dry before refilling with litter.

  • I also spray and wipe the base seals after brushing off dust and debris.

  • One bottle goes a long way—making it a cost-effective solution.

The wipes are perfect for in-between cleans or when you just need a quick freshen-up.

Not Just for the Litter-Robot™

If you’ve ever had a cat urinate outside the tray, you’ll know how tough it is to break the cycle. I’ve been there—with a nervous cat who was being bullied and began peeing on my kitchen counter and floor (the safest place she could find).

Cleaning with my usual products didn’t stop the behaviour. But once I remembered the enzyme power of the Litter-Robot Cleaner Spray, I applied it to the affected areas—and the urination stopped. No repeat incidents. Behaviour management is ongoing, but this spray helped break the cycle.

And yes, I’ve even used it as a makeshift air freshener after a particularly fragrant litter box deposit. It’s that good.

⚠️ Note: Always patch test on fabrics first.
